By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Unsaid (the "App"), you agree to be bound by this End User License Agreement and all rules, policies, and notices shown in the App. If you do not agree, do not install, access, or use the App. This is a binding legal agreement between you and the App developers. Your continued use of the App means you accept the current version of these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to use this App. By using Unsaid, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you are under 18, you are strictly prohibited from using the App. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we believe a user is underage or otherwise ineligible.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for lawful personal use only. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, sell, rent, sublicense, exploit, interfere with, or misuse the App, its services, its data, or its underlying systems.
The App allows users to post anonymous letters and related content ("Content"). You are solely responsible for everything you submit, post, or transmit. You represent that you have the rights necessary to post your Content and that your Content does not violate any law, third-party right, campus rule, or these Terms. The App acts as a passive conduit for user Content and does not endorse, verify, or guarantee any user post.
By posting Content, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, display, reproduce, modify for formatting or moderation, distribute, remove, and otherwise use your Content as needed to operate, improve, protect, and promote the App. This license ends when Content is deleted from active systems, except where retention is required for safety, moderation, legal compliance, backups, or legitimate business purposes.
Unsaid has zero tolerance for objectionable, abusive, harmful, or illegal Content. You may not post hate speech, threats, harassment, bullying, doxing, private information, sexual content, nudity, exploitation, self-harm encouragement, graphic violence, illegal activity, drugs, weapons, scams, spam, impersonation, defamatory statements, targeted humiliation, or any Content that may endanger, intimidate, exploit, or harm another person or community.
You may not use Unsaid to stalk, threaten, shame, blackmail, extort, coordinate harassment, reveal identities, encourage violence, or cause real-world harm. Anonymous posting is not permission to abuse others. We may remove Content, block devices, preserve relevant records, and cooperate with schools, platforms, emergency services, or law enforcement when we believe safety, legal compliance, or protection of users requires it.
Users can flag objectionable Content using the Report button. Reported Content may be hidden from the reporter and queued for review. We may review reports, automated signals, user activity, and related context. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and without notice, to remove Content, limit visibility, disable features, block devices, ban users, or take any action we believe is appropriate. Valid reports may result in permanent removal and potential banning of the author.
We do not promise to pre-screen, monitor, or review all Content before it appears. Some Content may be offensive, inaccurate, harmful, or upsetting. You use the App at your own risk and are responsible for deciding whether to view, interact with, or rely on user Content.
Unsaid is designed to provide public-facing anonymity, but anonymity is not absolute and is not a shield for illegal activity or abuse. We do not publicly show your real name or phone number. Student status may be verified by email, but public posts are not intended to display your email. However, technical identifiers, device information, logs, purchase records, reports, moderation records, or other operational data may be used to secure the App, prevent abuse, enforce these Terms, comply with law, and respond to valid legal process.
We may preserve, disclose, or provide information if required by law, court order, subpoena, valid legal request, platform requirement, emergency safety concern, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of users, the public, the App, or the developers. If you use the App to commit a crime or harm others, your anonymity may be compromised by authorities or legal process.
Some features may be offered as one-time in-app purchases, consumable passes, tokens, or other paid features through Google Play. Purchases are processed by Google Play and may be subject to Google's payment terms, refund rules, and platform policies. Unless required by applicable law or platform policy, purchases are final, non-transferable, have no cash value, and may be used only inside the App. We do not guarantee continued availability of any paid feature forever.
You may not attempt to hack, disrupt, overload, scrape, crawl, automate, reverse engineer, bypass restrictions, manipulate purchases, evade bans, use unauthorized clients, interfere with moderation, probe security, or access non-public systems or data. We may block suspicious devices, traffic, or activity without notice.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, abused the App, infringed rights, caused harm, or for any operational, legal, safety, or business reason. You may stop using the App at any time.
The App may rely on third-party services such as app stores, payment processors, analytics, hosting, authentication, notifications, or moderation infrastructure. We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, policies, fees, decisions, or data practices. Your use of those services may be governed by their own terms and policies.
Your use of the App involves collection and processing of limited information needed to operate, secure, verify, moderate, improve, and support the App. This may include device identifiers, verification information, post metadata, reports, purchase-related records, and technical logs. Do not post private information about yourself or others. We may retain information as needed for safety, moderation, legal compliance, backups, dispute handling, and legitimate operations.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, SECURITY, AVAILABILITY, AND ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE SAFE, SECURE, UNINTERRUPTED, BUG-FREE, OR THAT CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR APPROPRIATE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, LOSS OF DATA, LOST PROFITS, REPUTATIONAL HARM, PERSONAL HARM ARISING FROM USER CONTENT, SERVICE INTERRUPTION, OR DAMAGES RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the App developers from any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your Content, your use or misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your violation of another person's rights.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms may be posted in the App or otherwise made available. Your continued use of the App after updates become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the App.
